Halloween Masks on Etsy #halloween #costume

If you are still looking for inspiration for your Halloween costume, I definitely encourage you to look at Sundries and Plunder on Etsy. They create handmade the most gorgeous leather masks that I have seen in a long time, and definitely will be the signature piece for your Halloween attire.

Aren't they beautiful!! And I find them so gorgeous that you could certainly display them in a baby nursery on the wall, or in a fairytale dress up area of a playroom.

I really love how Sundries and Plunder has displayed their products - very fairy woodland, and I think it would be great to emulate this look with vinyl tree decals or patterned wallpaper.

Encouraging imaginative play is something that is important to me not only as a mom, but also as an artist. So...get them for Halloween, then incorporate them into the playroom. Pretty awesome!

Which one is your favorite?

What's Next Wednesday: Mardi Gras!

December is fast approaching, which means Mardi Gras balls and New Years Eve plans are getting into full swing!

I've been busy working on some Mardi Gras masks, and I want to share them with you all today! There's still time to order these beauties for your balls and even for your New Years Eve festivities!

All-over red glitter with a black glitter pattern, red and silver paillettes and black netting. Finished with green ribbons, and extra ribbon on one side for a fanciful effect

Arc en Ciel...a rainbow of paillettes on a glittery black background. Capped off with white netting that comes over the left eye and pink ribbons

My absolutely favourite! All over copper with chocolate brown ribbons. Gold, red and copper paillettes create a beautiful focal point, and a fanciful black netting fascinator tie it all together.

Be the belle of the ball this holiday season with a Sweet Stella's mask!

What's Next Wednesday: Craft Show Prep Week 3!

Another Wednesday, another week of preparations for the Christmas Craft Bazaar! I can't believe that it's only 4 weeks away...I feel like there is still SO much to do!

Within the past week, I've created and finished...

  • 5 glittered masks
  • 160 origami favour pouches with embellished flaps
  • 22 stacks of stationary
That's a heck of a lot of stock!!

Playing with glitter is probably my new favourite thing. Yes, it ends up with my covered in it, but it's so much fun and you never know what you can create until you're elbow deep in it!

Here are the new masks I just created

Like I said...all.over.glitter! But I love them, and the way they catch the light is spectacular!

Y3W Friday: {Paper} Faces on Parade

Masquerade!
Every face a different shade.
Masquerade!
Look around -
there's another
mask behind you!

That's right! This week, I was asked by a lovely photographer to create a mask for an upcoming wedding shoot that she has in the fall.

An amazing opportunity for some really awesome, hand painted designs! I've created them out of a satin mask form, painted with high quality and non toxic artist acrylics, them embellished with a variety of powdered glitters, metallic paint, feathers, gems, ribbons and pearls.

Here's a sneak peek of what I've been creating!

~Snow Princess~

~Bubblegum Cutie~

~Black Widow~

~Autumn Goddess~ this is the mask that will be going to the wedding shoot

~Ice Queen~

So...what do you think?! I've got to say, I'm absolutely in love with them!

Masks will come in two styles; Couture and Basic. The Couture masks will be embellished with feathers, gems, glitter, handpainted designs and ribbons. The Basic masks will be handpainted with optional glitter and gems.

They're all so different and wonderful, and I definitely will be doing a GIVEAWAY for a custom Couture Magnificent Mask in a few weeks!

What was your week like? Can you sum it up in three(ish) words?? Link up with my girl Jenni!
