Dressy Fall #Fashion Looks for Her

The last of our fall fashion looks for her is one using a beautiful shirt dress. While this is definitely a look for any season, it is kept cozy with tights and boots, along with some unexpected details.

Dressy Fall Fashion

I absolutely love this shirt dress. The gold buttons down the front and the belt are the perfect details for fall. Metallics have been trendy all year, but trying to keep them seasonally appropriate can be difficult. For Spring, I like to go with lighter metallics like silver. Summer...a little more bold with brassy gold and rose gold as well. Mixed metals work well in the Summer too. Then for Fall and Winter, dark metals like gunmetal, steel and darker gold.

In terms of a night out, a clutch or wristlet is always appropriate. This is where you can bring in a bold pop of color, like this incredible crimson. Invest in a few strong clutches for your evening events, and you will be all set!

The only other thing that I might add would be an overcoat of some kind, likely a motorcycle jacket with an asymmetrical zipper, or something in a dark denim with the cuffs rolled up. Since the dress has a definite style, I would stay away from a trench or anything belted as I likely wouldn't do up the jacket...it's really just another piece for layering!

Fall Business Attire #networking #womeninbusiness #fashion

Our second fall fashion look is devoted to the career woman, specifically for a networking event. Again, we are layering, but taking it up a notch with some unexpected neutrals and pops of color.

Fall Business Wardrobe

Yes pastels and neutrals are typically more Spring fashion trends, but when paired with a bright raspberry peplum top and a dark navy bag and shoe, they are totally appropriate for Fall fashion!

Here, tailored trousers are paired with a really chic structured jacket and peplum top. There are so many simple details that I chose not to accessorize with a necklace, but to go with some statement earrings in a dark black-navy and a power watch in the same time.

The shoes are what really stand out in this outfit for me. T strap pumps are super feminine, a little sexy and very versatile. Pair them with jeans, skirts, trousers or dresses. They really are a go-with-everything type shoe!

For a networking event, I usually like to be fairly hands free, so that means I like a handbag that can be slung on my forearm or a wristlet. This bag is the perfect shape, and roomy enough for all of your essentials.

Up next is a dressy fall outfit, and it's a beauty!

Casual Fall #Fashion

Fall is perfect for layering fabrics, chunky knit sweaters, scarves and boots. This month, I am excited to share three different fall fashion looks, starting with todays casual look!

Casual Fall Fashion 2014

Why I love this look? It's all in the details. My absolute favorite element are the boots - I love the folded cuff, the floral detail to the lining. I pulled out colors from the floral pattern for inspiration for the scarf, earrings and even the handbag.

As we saw in the Spring, florals have been really popular this year and can be done in an understated way so you don't feel like you are going to a luau. In this outfit, the floral is way down at your feet and then the colors from the pattern set the tone for the rest of the outfit, while being anchored by simple dark jeans.

Now I'm on the search for these boots!

Summer to Fall #Fashion Transition #trends

Take one dress and one bag, then transition it from the warm summer months to the cooler, crisp autumn evenings...what do you get?

Summer to Fall Fashion 2014

Metallics and pastels have been really hot through Spring and Summer 2014, and there's no reason that they can't be appropriate for Autumn...it's all in how to do them, and what you pair them with.

For Fall, pair a pretty champagne dress with floral blocking with a dark denim jacket, suede booties and nude tights. Pretty easy, but definitely gorgeous. Instead of sparkly bangles and pretty rose gold pearl drop earrings, pull your hair up into a messy top knot or side bun, and let the textures of your clothing and the details on your booties do the talking.

Happy Fall!
