Banana Walnut Waffle #recipe for Christmas #breakfast

Special weekends call for a special breakfast, and in this house that means waffles. I love taking my basic waffle recipe and tweaking it just a bit here and there to make something really amazing for my family.

Here's a great recipe for Banana Walnut Waffles that are sure to please everyone on Christmas morning.

Preheat your waffle iron then get to building your waffle mix.

2 cups flour
1 tbsp brown suar
1 tbsp baking powder
2 eggs
1.5 cups milk
1 tbsp melted butter
1 mashed banana
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Mix everything together, then drop by the 1/4 cup into the wells of your waffle iron. Close the lid and let cook for exactly 4 minutes. Keep making waffles until you're out of batter.

To keep your waffles warm, here's a tip! Heat your oven to 250F and put your cooked waffles on a cookie sheet. Between batches, put them in the oven to stay warm!

Serve with warm local maple syrup or a beautiful berry compote!

Merry breakfasting!
