My first tip is to use a neutral paint. My favourite right now is our White Tulle walls - a light grey sets the stage to bring bold pops of trending colour into your decor.
In our master bedroom, we have the walls a Fine Silver grey, and have paired it with pops of mustard, chocolate brown, and a very light aqua. It's just so...calming. It's a space to relax in, most definitely, but could certainly be livened up with swapping out a few things.
Change up the bedding to a crisp white
Add in dark turquoise throw pillows
Change the wall art to be a trending tone like a spicy red or bright tangerine
The possibilities are endless when you start with a neutral like a light grey.
