Biweekly appointments have started...as have irregular contractions and those lovely lightning-in-my-cervix pains. Fun stuff! My belly is low, my belly is tight; and yet...I haven't gained any weight in the past two weeks.
My guy is out of room officially, and is pushing down alot of the time. The contractions are irregular, but some are strong enough to make me feel nauseous or make me try to breathe through them while feeling like something is clutching my lungs and preventing me from breathing.
It's hard to believe that he will be here soon. I have a very strong feeling that it will be around June 20-24 or so. My husband thinks it will be on June 29th as he is golfing in a big tournament. Only the little guy knows, I guess!!
Maternity Clothes: The top up there? non-maternity!
Stretch Marks: My old stretchmarks from my first pregnancy are getting red and dark again. C'est la vie!
Weight: +16lbs overall! (+0lbs since 32wks)
Sleep: Up to pee about 3-4 times a night, and every time I stand up...lightning pain! It's really only a matter of time.
Movement: Sharp jabs and kicks to my right rib cage are making me cringe and wince these days.
Food Cravings: Dairy Queen ice cream cake...the WEIRDEST things lately and absolutely most random. I was watching The Food Network and saw Smoke's Poutinerie...and I can't stop thinking about fries smothered in cheese curds and gravy. NOT something I would typically, EVER eat. I think I've had poutine maybe twice in my entire life.
Gender: It's a BOY!! (read here)
Names: We got a piece of art for his room this past week with his name on it and I got all teary eyed. I love it so much!
Exercise: Just basic every day life at this point. At my OB appointment today they advised no more running because of the irregular contractions, and that's fine with me. I haven't run since May 4th, but I do miss it and am excited to get back to it hopefully in late August.
What I Miss: Feeling comfortable behind the wheel of the car. Oh my goodness, I only have about an inch of clearance!
And yes...I moved my seat back!
What I'm looking Forward To: My next appointment with Jena, and our OB appointment on June 12th. We'll be checking on the state of things to see if there's any progression. Right now, I'm just crossing my fingers and going to be taking it easy to make sure we make it to that appointment.
For now, we track contractions on the Fullterm app (thanks Auntie Heather!) and try to relax!
