Postpartum Doula

Balance
Compassion
Validation
Purpose

My approach is that of guided support. We will focus on building a stronger, more confident you so that you can push forward in any situation and come out on the other side with a more positive and healthy outlook. When we work together, you will receive my support, knowledge and consistent checkins. You are not alone in your journey; I am here to guide you along your way.

I believe in passion. I believe in being kind to yourself. I believe in doing good, and opening yourself up to being awesome.

So often, we are burdened with guilt, self loathing, and indecisiveness. When I experienced birth trauma with my first pregnancy, and subsequently postpartum depression, I felt incredibly lost. I felt guilty for not being able to provide my son something society boasted as natural. I felt angry at my body and mind for failing me. I felt unsure of myself as a mother and a woman, every single step of the way.

Fast forward four years to our second birth, where we hired a doula. It simply changed who my husband and I were as parents, partners and individuals. We saw first hand the benefit of an empowered birth process, and have been blessed to have a beautiful postpartum period and transition to being new parents again.

My hope as a postpartum doula is to give you the courage, bravery and validation you need to feel confident in your decisions as a parent. I also hope to give you a safe place to breathe, vent, cry and be true to yourself, no matter what difficult emotions you are experiencing. Lastly, I hope to help you experience joy, and to help ease your transition as a new (and new again) parent.

Let's work together on a custom package that tends to your needs, develops an action plan and gives you the support that you are looking for!

As a new business owner I was so excited to have Sweet Stella coaching me along. She has been an amazing person to bounce ideas off of and to make sure that I am on track with everything I am working on. She has assisted me in setting goals and has given me the direction and confidence to achieve them. She even reminds me to date nights. lol. I am so excited to see where my company is going and how far our relationship gets me there. Thank you so very much for all the hard work you have put into helping me grow my business and myself.

I used Shannon's services starting in March of 2013. She mentored me thru the complete restructure and re brand of my business. I found her to not only be very knowledgable and professional but she was also extremely personable.

Shannon helped me stay focused and helped keep me on track with daily task suggestions. She always pushed me gently to do more and I am so happy with all that has been accomplished in such a short amount of time. The tips and tricks she has taught me for my business will last me a lifetime.

Shannon also taught me a lot about myself in this process and I learned what I want in business and in life and how to go about getting my work out into the world. I have so much more confidence in myself and in my work now. I never dreamed that I could feel this confident! The things she taught me about photography and how to display my items has brought a whole new look to my work that I didn't even know was possible.

I want to thank Shannon for all she has done for me. I would recommend her services whole heartedly to anyone who is looking for mentoring in their business! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Shan, I am a changed woman thanks to you and I take so much more pride in myself as well as in my work.

I have known Shannon for several years now and from the day we met she has been encouraging creativity and pushing people, including me, to be their best artistic selves. In my own life, she has had unfailing confidence in my artistic ventures, even when I wasn't so sure. It's her zest, her unyielding spirit that has, at least in part, kept me driving forward in my own creative ventures. Her coaching is goal oriented, specific and measurable. And Shannon keeps me accountable - which so often is exactly what my flighty heart needs! I would recommend Shannon's coaching to anyone who really needs that external force to push you through your creative hardships.

Shannon is amazing. She is a social media wiz who loves to share her knowledge and teach other women entrepreneurs how to grow their businesses using social media…what to post, where to post it, when to post it, how often, etc.

I didn’t have a Twitter account when I met her and had never even considered starting a blog for my business…I could not have started any of this without Shannon, her constant support and encouragement, and her ability to see my dream for my business even when my own vision blurs.

I highly recommend working with Shannon whenever you get the chance.
