I was surprised when I got the list from the hospital of things to pack for baby. It literally consisted of diapers, wipes, a hat, and a blanket. That's it. When we had our first, I definitely underpacked. This go around, I've probably overdone it, but I want to make sure that we have everything that we need (even if we leave the bag in the car in the parking garage) just in case.
Here's what's on my list:
Little Hipsqueaks green apple cross blanket (to cover baby in the carseat)
Sarita Baby soother clip
Avent NB soothers
10 Pampers NB swaddlers (holy moly, I forgot how tiny those are!)
Pampers Sensitive wipes
My Mommy Has Better Tattoos Than Yours onesie from Truly Sanctuary
Gold moccasins from Hello Little Scout
Westcoast Baby NB knotted beanie and mittens
2 pairs of NB socks
Eddie Bauer vibrating owl (thanks Grammy!)
Avent bottle
3 Westcoast Baby cocoon swaddlers (they're oh-so-soft and stretchy)
Boudreaux's Buttpaste
Wild Thing onesie from DansPress
Why so many blankets and two outfits for going home? Well, I sort of figure that this time, I'm in charge. I don't remember the blankets at the hospital being overly soft or stretchy, so why not bring ones that I really really love, that will come home with us?
Sure, it might be a little much, but like I said, I would rather have too much than too little. It's all packed neatly in my Skip Hop diaper bag!
