Maternity Style: Bahamas vacation recap, Babymoon

We just got back from our little Babymoon in the Bahamas and I got my Hubs to take a photo of every single outfit {poor guy!} so I could do a little recap on the blog.

What I have learned during this pregnancy, now in the second trimester, is that I don't have to sacrifice my style just because I am pregnant. I can find pieces that work with my style, budget and trends, be they maternity clothes or not.

My sightseeing outfit for Nassau, Bahamas was pretty basic. Motherhood Maternity turquoise shorts, and a flowy Jennifer Lopez tank. I absolutely LOVE how this tank fits and know that it will be something that I wear post-pregnancy as well. It has a keyhole at the back, and is sheer white on the back as well. Paired with my favourite Steve Madden sandals.

Loving this comfortable ponte dress from Liz Lange Maternity at Target. Rich, beautiful purple color, and lots of room for my bump to grow. I paired it with my favourite suede peep toe booties, and my VHS clutch from my dear friend Tina Dean Designs. It was the perfectly polished look for our formal dinner on night two.

Beach day on Coco Cay was super relaxing! We laid out in the sun for a couple of hours, walked around, had some lunch and then tendered back to the boat to lay around on the pool deck! This skirt from Old Navy is a non-maternity skirt, and is quickly becoming a staple in my wardrobe. It has slits up both sides, which make it nice a breezy for vacationing, and I love that it sits up over my bump with a comfortable elastic waistband. My bathing suit top was super comfy and went well with my skirted ruffle bottoms, both from Target.

I am sure that as my belly grows, my style will change a wee bit, but for now, at 14weeks, I am happily enjoying both maternity and non maternity clothes!
