Child and Family Connections in Chicago

When Baby Shmizz and I started planning the FlyDIY party, we knew that we wanted to do something to give back to the community of Chicago...a thank-you of sorts for hosting the BlogHer conference and a way for us to appreciate them for putting up with us 5000+ attendees.

We've teamed up with Champions for Kids, an organization that makes it simple to give kids in your community the resources they need to thrive. We started talking with Elizabeth, and were quickly linked up with the Child and Family Connections #11 Program, which has an incredible Early Intervention program. If you've read BabyShmizz and gotten to know Jack, you know why EI programs are close to our hearts.

Not only will the mural that we all collaborate to create be donated to the EI program at Child and Family Connection, but so will any of our left over supplies. Art supplies are so incredibly stimulating for children, so we couldn't think of a better place to put them to good use.

We will also have Champions donation bins at the door should you want to bring a pack of crayons, paint brushes, construction paper, Popsicle sticks, glue sticks, pipe cleaners...you can drop them in the bins and we will ensure that they are donated to the kiddos at Child and Family Connections.

For one day, we will all be Champions. How awesome is that!?
