New Year New Me....a Confession

Have you been missing the updates? Wondering about how the journey to a healthier and more positive me is going?

Well...I hit a wall. I got emotional and I gave up.

I gave up.

Yep. Me. I gave up.

I know I know. I have accomplished so much, and I have come so far and I should be proud. So, why in the world did I feel like a sloth, and why in the world did I let the what's the point mentality take over?

I honestly am not sure. My husband started traveling, I got busy with studio work, proposals, mentorship pieces (a new facet to my business that I absolutely adore) and I found myself pulled in a tonne of different directions.

Then I got sad, and I got down on myself for being sad, which sent me into a spiral. I gave up.

Then, this week I recommitted myself...to myself.

And I recommitted myself to my little dude who watches my every move

First off, how cute is Owen? He sounds just like my nephew -- too darn cute, love it. We should all post more videos of our little talking... !

Secondly, you can do it ;-) I had actually thought about this other day and though hmm.. wonder how Shannon is doing w/ her new program since I hadn't seen any updates - now I know why. I too had started doing something else (C25K) and it didn't last long. Sometimes life happens and other things just fall off but i'm proud of you for realizing that and now getting back to it!

Good luck and can't wait to see all the updates.

Not only is your son wonderful and adorable, YOU are wonderful too. Everyone slips at some point sweetie, NO ONE is perfect but you are pretty darn close in my eyes. You have this totally within you control and I think you are going to knock this one out of the park! Look how far you have already come! You have picture proof of your changes since the beginning. You have all of us here cheering you on and heck some of us are even on our own journeys to better ourselves thanks to your support. you are amazing Shan please keep up the great work <3

Way to go!

I admire your courage in admitting this! It took alot of strength to start in the begining but I'd say it takes a lot more to feel the way you have been, recognize it, admit it, and recommit to taking care of you. I've failed many times to pull it back together and recommit!

Be proud of what you've accomplished already (you look fabulous - even Ross noticed and doesn't notice much), be proud of what you are continuing to do for yourself, and be proud of setting such a fearlessly fabulous example for O.

You rock Mama!

I was wondering also what was going on with your workouts but I completely can understand where you're coming from. I was so into my 30 Day Shred, but completely fell off the wagon (I plan on posting about this soon too). You can do it!

P.S. Owen is so sweet! I hope he enjoyed his apple!

Well done, Shan!
It is so important to be good to yourself when these things happen. Life happens. We are human and we will get off track from time to time. The important thing is to recognize and move forward. We can be so hard on ourselves, we are not perfect and out of imperfection comes incredible beauty. Sharing your feelings like this is such an inspiration to others. Thank you for being honest and fabulous you! <3
